My trip to Twin Lakes…

So yesterday I took a trip to Leadville/Twin Lakes area as I needed to go and take a look at some properties for a client who is coming into town next week.  So while  I was out I stopped into the Inn of the Black Wolf for lunch…Tom and Kendra Driemeyer are the proprietors and they served up a very fine lunch…they are open for breakfast on the weekend and lunch and dinner everyday.   Please see http://www.innoftheblackwolf.com/ for more information…great food, great people and awesome views. 

Now, back to my property search…I found a really cool lot .92 of an acre, with awesome views of Twin Lakes, Colorado.  The lot is $44,000…please take a look at the photo below…isn’t that a pretty view??

So then, I traveled around and found the houses I am going to show to my client next week…what a secluded area in the Twin Lakes these homes are.  If you truly to get away from everything, you could.  I found a new home under construction that has this same view as above only from a higher elevation for $399k…it’s made of beetle kill wood and the kitchen cabinets are also made of beetle kill wood. If you haven’t seen this wood, it’s beautiful.  It’s a shame we are losing our forest due to this little bug, but after seeing this home, there is something beautiful that does come out of something disastrous.    Sorry, I don’t have a photo of this lovely home…but if you are interested, please drop me a line and I will go and get some photos for you…and oh…it has three bedrooms and two bathrooms.
