Copper Demo Weekend, Nov. 13 – 14: Sample some of this season’s newest snowboards from companies like Never Summer, Forum, Capita, Union and Burton…all right in Burning Stones Plaza and free. In addition, enjoy 50% off demos at Left Lane Rentals and 50% off tunes at The Fix Tune Shop.
USSA Race to the Cup, Nov. 18 – 19: The U.S. Snowboarding Race to the Cup series makes three stops each season. Each stop on the tour will consist of two alpine events with prize money at each stop. All races will be scheduled as part of the NorAm series. Athletes must have a current National USSA license and FIS license prior to registering for the Race to the Cup. Visa U.S. Halfpipe Grand Prix at Copper, Dec. 8 – 11: The season opener will feature both a return of the snowboard Olympians, plus new this year - a ski halfpipe event that will serve as a qualifier for the upcoming World Championships. The weekend will also feature one of USSA’s most popular series for developing athletes, the Paul Mitchell Progression Session, with a slopestyle event under the lights on Saturday night. www.ussnowboarding.com
Pre-Thanksgiving Dinner, Nov. 18: Time to get that belly in shape to eat some real turkey and stuffing in a week or so. Come join the Copper Chapel Foundation for a pre-Thanksgiving dinner on Thursday, Nov. 18 from 5 – 7 p.m. at the Copper Conference Center. Advanced reservations are required by Monday, Nov. 15. The price is $10 per person, and $5 for children under 12. The menu includes turkey, salad, stuffing, mashed potatoes, green beans, fresh rolls and pumpkin pie.
